مما لا شك فيه أنّ كتب الرحالات تُعد من المصادر التاريخية المُهمة لدراسة تاريخ المدن، والمجتمعات البشرية كونها تحوي معلومات غزيرة عن مختلف جوانب الحياة العامة لا سيما فيما يتعلق بالأحوال الحضارية، والاجتماعية، والاقتصادية، والعمران مما قد لا نجده في المصادر التاريخية الاخرى لذلك فهي تعد من المصادر الأساسية لكل من يتصّدى للتاريخ الحضاري، وما يزيد من قيمة كتب الرحالة أنها تتمتع في الغالب بقدر كبير من المصداقية فقد اعتمد أصحابها على تدوين مشاهداتهم العيانية فكانوا يصفون ما يرونه لحظة بلحظة مُدونين خلاصة مشاهداتهم وأسفارهم ومنهم الرحالة ناصر خسرو القبادياني(394-481هـ/1003-1089م) الذي قام برحلة طويلة في القرن الخامس الهجري / الحادي عشر الميلادي شملت الكثير من اقاليم ومدن العالم الاسلامي من المشرق حتى بلاد الشام، ومصر في رحلة طويلة استغرقت سبع سنوات، وكان دافعه الى الرحلة هو حب المعرفة ومشاهدة الأثار التي سمع عنها، أو قرأها في الكتب.
والبحث الذي بين أيدينا محاولة لاستعراض ما دوّنه الرحالة ناصر خسرو أثناء زيارته لبيت المقدس والتي كانت احدى المحطات المهُمة في رحلته الطويلة، فقد زار بيت المقدس ودوّن لنا مشاهداته الحية عنها في مُستهل القرن الخامس الهجري/ الحادي عشر الميلادي حيث تحدّث عن طبيعة البلاد، ومناخها، وأبنيتها وأثارها التاريخية، والدينية، ومظاهر الحياة، والعادات والتقاليد والأحوال المعاشية، كما اهتم بالعمارة، ووصف المساجد، والأماكن الدينية، وما اشتملت عليه جميعاً وصفاً دقيقاً.
وقد تمَ تقسيم البحث الى مبحثين، وخاتمة:
المبحث الأول: تمّ فيه استعراض موجز لسيرة الرحالة ناصر خسرو، ورحلته(سفرنامة)، ومحتواها، ومنهجه في التأليف.
والمبحث الثاني: خُصّص للحديث عن بيت المقدس من خلال مُشاهدات الرحالة ناصر خسرو.

There is no doubt that travel books are considered one of the important historical sources for studying the history of cities and human societies, as they contain abundant information about various aspects of public life, especially with regard to cultural, social, economic, and urban conditions. Which we may not find in other historical sources, so it is considered one of the basic sources for everyone who deals with cultural history, and what increases the value of traveler’s books is that they often have a great deal of credibility. Their authors relied on recording their visual observations, so they described what they saw moment by moment, writing down a summary of their observations. And their travels, including the traveler Nasir Khusraw al-Qubadiani (394-481 AH / 1003-1089 AD) Who made a long journey in the fifth century AH / eleventh century AD that included many regions and cities of the Islamic world from the East to the Levant and Egypt on a long journey that lasted seven years, and his motivation for the trip was the love of knowledge and seeing the antiquities that he had heard about, or read in books. .
The research at hand is an attempt to review what the traveler Nasir Khusraw recorded during his visit to Jerusalem, which was one of the important stops on his long journey. He visited Jerusalem and recorded for us his live observations of it at the beginning of the fifth century AH/eleventh century AD, where he talked about the nature of the country and its climate. Its buildings and historical monuments, Religious aspects, aspects of life, customs, traditions, and living conditions. He also paid attention to architecture, describing mosques, and religious places, and what they all included in an accurate description.
The research was divided into two sections, and a conclusion:
The first section: A brief review of the biography of the traveler Nasir Khusraw, his journey (Safarnama), its content, and his approach to writing.
The second section: was devoted to talking about Jerusalem through the observations of the traveler Nasir Khusraw.
