Tourism is one of the most dynamic sectors across the world, it is an effective way to bring income from hard currency, reduce the unemployment rate and contribute to the national income which results in an increase in state revenues, therefore the development of tourism reflects positively on economic and social development , while sustainable tourism marketing is considered a tool to create various conditions that help achieve this development and face any trouble in the market or economic situation, the research tried to determine the impact of sustainable tourism marketing on tourism development based on the hypothetical model where two basic hypotheses were built and theoretical framework was prepared using the literature on the topic, research sample consisted of workers in the directorate of public tourism in the city of Dohuk and the questionnaire was used as a main tool to collect the data that were analyzed by making use of the (spss) program, the research reached several conclusions, the most important was that the tourism development depends primarily on the extent to which the directorate has adopted sustainable marketing practices with serious and real steps to improve the tourism reality of the city, as for the most important proposals , it was represented in the necessity to provide training and educational programs for the workers in tourism sectors or the accompanying sector for the benefit of employees and for the benefit of tourism as well and this will be reflected in the tourism sector itselfز
