ASSESSMENT TO THE LEVEL OF ORGANIZATIONAL READINESS FOR CHANGE IN GOVERNMENTAL DIRECTORATES IN ZAKHO INDEPENDENT ADMINISTRATION

THE AIM OF THIS STUDY IS TO ASSESS THE LEVEL OF REEDINESS FOR CHANGE AMONG DIRECTORS AND HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS IN GOVERNMENTAL DIRECTORATES AFFILIATED WITH THE “ZAKHO INDEPENDENT ADMINISTRATION”. MORE SPECIFICALLY, THE RESEARCH FOCUSES ON MEASURING AND ASSESSING FOUR SELECTED DIMENSIONS OF READINESS FOR CHANGE. THESE ARE THE FOLLOWING: APPROPRIATENESS, MANAGEMENT SUPPORT, SELF-EFFICACY, AND PERSONALLY BENEFICIAL. FOR THIS PURPOSE, ONE HUNDRED AND NINE (109) DIRECTORS AND HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS WERE SELECTED RANDOMLY FROM GOVERNMENTAL DIRECTORATES IN ZAKHO. THE PARTICIPANTS WERE GIVEN A PRE-STRUCTURED QUESTIONNAIRE CONSISTING OF TWO PARTS. THE FIRST PART WAS RELATED TO THE DEMOGRAPHIC AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS, WHILE THE SECOND PART DEALT WITH THE CHANGE READINESS QUESTIONNAIRE USING FOUR-DIMENSION MODEL. DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS WERE USED TO ANALYSE DATA AND ACHIEVE RESEARCH OBJECTIVES USING SPSS (25.0). THE RESULTS REVEALED A MODERATE LEVEL OF READINESS FOR CHANGE, WITH THE MEAN FOR THE OVERALL CHANGE READINESS SOMEWHAT OVER THE MIDDLE OF THE FIVE-POINT LIKERT SCALE (3.5 OUT OF 5). AMONG THE FOUR DIMENSIONS, PERSONALLY BENEFICIAL RECORDED THE HIGHEST LEVEL. THE LOWEST LEVEL, ON THE OTHER HAND, WAS RECORDED WITH MANAGEMENT SUPPORT. FINALLY, THE FINDINGS ALSO SHOWED THAT THE LEVEL OF READINESS FOR CHANGE DID NOT EXPLAIN ANY SIGNIFICANT VARIATION BASED ON PERSONAL FACTORS.

Measuring Inpatients Level of Satisfaction about Health Services Provided by Zakho Governmental Hospitals

Background and aim: Patient’s satisfaction is a central element in the evaluation of health care services and it's an important indicator for measuring the quality of services and regarded as a component of performance improvement. The aim of present research was to measure patients’ satisfaction about health services in Zakho's hospital. Methodology: Descriptive study was conducted in Zakho's hospital. 248 patients were selected from Zakho general hospital, maternity hospital and emergency hospital in Zakho city which are the only hospitals that can receive inpatients in discrete. A validated questionnaire was used to measure patients’ satisfaction about health services by interviewing them on day of discharge. Results: the results of present study in Zakho’s hospitals (Zakho General Hospital, Emergency Hospital and Maternity Hospital) showed moderate level of satisfaction with health services that provided to them as overall results were (3.56 out of 5). With highest level of satisfaction in Zakho general hospital and lowest level in emergency hospital. Conclusion: the results indicate the need for further efforts should spend to overcome weakness and barriers for provision of better quality of services and enhance better satisfaction. the results also suggest that serious and effective pains are necessary to increase patient's satisfaction in Emergency hospital.

INVESTIGATING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND ENTREPRENEURIAL BEHAVIOUR

The aim of the present research study is to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial behavior. More precisely, the study focused on evaluating the effect of selected dimensions of emotional intelligence, based on Goleman’s (1998) model, as predictors of entrepreneurial behavior namely; self-awareness, self-regulations, internal motivation, empathy and social-skills among small-sized firms’ managers working in Kurdistan Region-Iraq. Moreover, it also examined the degree of managers’ emotionally intelligent and entrepreneurial behavior. Sixty six (66) managers from Kurdistan region-Iraq participated in the study. The participants were given a pre-structured questionnaire of two parts including; "entrepreneurial behavior” questionnaire by (Pearce et al., 1997)“emotional intelligence” questionnaire by (Goleman, D. 1998) five dimensions model. Three measuring tools were used to analyze data including; descriptive statistics; mean and standard deviation, Spearman moment correlation and multiple linier regressions. The finding showed a moderate level of emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial behavior among managers. In addition, emotional intelligence and all its dimensions showed statistically significant correlation with entrepreneurial behavior. Concerning the impact of emotional intelligence, out of five dimension four were found to have a significant impact on managers’ entrepreneurial behavior namely; self-awareness, internal motivation, empathy and social-skills. However, dimensions of emotional intelligence, collectively explained a significant variance in entrepreneurial behavior

The Role of Strategic Alliances in Promoting the Organization's Leadership Field Study of a Sample of Managers of Travel and Aviation Companies in Dohuk Governorate

The research aimed to investigate the concepts of strategic alliances and entrepreneurial orientation as contemporary concepts that appeared due to of the rapid developments and the appearance of the concept of globalization. Particularly, the study focused on investigating the role of strategic alliancesstyles in supportentrepreneurial orientation. A sample contains 31managers of travel agencies working in the Duhok city. Participants were given questionnaire as a main instrument used for collecting data. mean, standard deviation and linier regression analysis were utilized to analyse the collected data. The results show that all types of strategic alliances play a significant role in supporting entrepreneurial orientation. Overall, it is recommended that firms should pay a great attention to all types of strategic alliances which could consequently affect their entrepreneurial position.
