Solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas in a 17-year-old girl

Solidpseudopapillarytumorofthepancreasisararetumoroflowmalignantpotential.Theaimofthispaperistopresentanddiscussacaseofsolidpseudopapillarytumorofthepancreasoccurringina17-year-old female. A17-year-oldgirlpresentedwithdullachingpoorlylocalizedlefthypochondrialpainfortwoyears,shehadnoclinicalfindingsonphysicalexamination.Ultrasoundoftheabdomenshowedwell-defined9cm*7cmheterogeneouslesionwithcysticcontentsintheregionofthetailofthepancreas.Computedtomographyscan(CTscan)oftheabdomenshowedamassof8cm*7cmintheregionofthetailofthepancreas;thatcouldbepancreaticmass,leftsuprarenalmass,orlymphoma.Resectionofthemassandhistopathologicalexaminationconfirmedthediagnosisofpseudopapillarytumorofthepancreas.CONCLUSION:Pseudopapillaryneoplasmofthepancreasisararecondition,whichneedssurgicalinter-vention.Closefollowupisnecessarytoearlydetectionoftherecurrenceandmetastasis.
