CENGİZ AYTMATOV'UN CEMİLE ADLI HİKÂYESİNİN ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME

Cengiz Aytmatov, is one of the most valuable 20th century writer of the Turkish world Literature. Indeed he is a national writer of Kirgizstan Literature. After his father a civil servant by profession was assassinated, Aytmatov an orphan was raised by his devoted mother, who had to work under harsh conditions of the 2nd World War. Cengiz Aytmatov clinical expression in his narrative of the legend, epic, fairy tale, and other literary genres of his nation has not only created awareness of the Kirgiz culture but worked as a wakeup call for the general public toward their culture. With his gifted writing prowess he specially brought to light the social tragedy lived by Kirgizstan during the former Soviet Union’s days. In the Aytmatov's novel named Cemile, he narrate a story about forbidden love of woman by the name Cemile who’s husband a soldier is away fighting in the fore front of the battle. This forbidden love story is based on difficult struggle of managing the conflicts of tradition, marriage and love. In his book Cemile, Aytmatov also skillfully describes the postwar challenges that society has experienced as well as the active and passive impact these difficulties had left on the society.

Analyzing the results of speaking and grammar errors for students of the Turkish Language Department at Zakho University

The main purpose of this study was to examine the mistakes of grammer test papers of students studying in the Turkish language department of Faculty of Humanities at Zaho University. The study evaluates the mistakes of second, third and fourth grade students. After examining the collected data, we have discovered where and in which titles the mistakes were made. The main reasons of those mistakes was mixing the grammar of the mother language to the grammar of the target language as well as applying and fitting the mother language grammer to the target language.
In addition, students have made more mistakes in their use of spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, syntax and suffixes compared to the grammar.
