Design and Implementation of a Brain Vision with Sound System to Enhance the Daily Work of Blind People
2018-12-18
This thesis deals with designing and implementing two systems that will help
the blind people to perform their daily work. The first system is responsible for
human vision, which contains four parts: microcontrollers, display tongue, PC,
and a camera in order to perform the brain vision functions. The camera will
take a photo in the front of blind person where the photo can be letters, numbers,
or an object. The microcontroller will convert the image to electrical pulses and
send them to the display tongue. The sensors of the tongue of the blind person
send these pulses to the neural vision part of the brain, so that the pulses are
converted to a vision image, and hence the blind person can recognize what is in
front of him. The second system is a voice alert system which contains
microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor, and headphone. The main function of this
system is to help the blind person to recognize what is around him by different
beeping voices based on the distance.
