Abstract
The seljuq sultanate in the Rum country was at the height of its power during the first Alaeddin keyqubad(1219-1237) reign. After his death, the second Ghiyath al-Din Kaykhusraw (1237-1245) became the Sultan of the Saljuqs of the Rum, the Saljuqi state started lose its authority. This enabled Mongols to move to Anatolia. In 1243, in the battle of Kosadakh, Mongols had severely defeated Saljuqs. After the defeat, the Saljuqs were obliged to make compromises and agreements with the Mongols. With such a treaty, the Saljuqs entirely became Mongol`s subjects. The subjugation of the Saljuqs deteriorated the situation of their state. Thus: the Turkmen princes refused to live in instability that was created by the Saljuqs, that is why they decided to establish their own emirates
