The main objective of the research is to produce maps showing the cultivated areas of each of the strategic crops (wheat, barley, maize and dates) in the various governorates of Iraq, by GIS software and based on the data of agricultural reports for the year 2013 issued by the Directorate of Agricultural Statistics of the Central Statistics Organization In Iraq, databases for these crops were made and added to the base map of Iraq, which was drawn based on the Base Maps approved by the program (10.1 ArcGis) and produced by ESRI (American Environmental Systems and Research Institute), and then the production of Maps showing the geographical variation of the areas planted with strategic crops according to the Iraqi governorates, in addition to representing agricultural data in the form of tables that are easy to read and analyze.
The main objective of the research is to identify the patterns and shapes of villages in the Sheikhan district, which is considered part of the villages of the northern region of Iraq. Also, drawing maps of all forms of villages in the study area and analyzing them.
